Maintenance Vacation Scheduling. As it pertains to maintenance vacations, one (1) maintenance personnel must be on duty during winter and spring breaks unless prior approval has been obtained from the Administration. The following procedure for determining maintenance vacation scheduling will apply: a. Vacation requests shall be submitted by August 1 for winter break and December 1 for spring break. Vacations shall be awarded on a seniority basis. b. Any vacation requests for winter break and spring break submitted after August 1 and December 1, respectively, will be considered on a first come first serve basis.
Maintenance Vacation Scheduling. The summer vacation period is defined as the start of the first pay period following June 1, to the end of the last full pay period prior to September 30. Employees, by seniority, may choose up to three weeks of vacation during that summer period, and provided all employees can be accommodated by having the greater of three weeks of vacation, or their entitlement, scheduled during that time period, senior employees may take additional vacation. Peak vacation periods are the summer vacation periods, as described above, and the Christmas period, which for the purpose of this sub-article, will be December 15 to January 7. Employees can take all of their vacation in non-peak times.
Maintenance Vacation Scheduling. This Memorandum of Agreement is between the Santa ▇▇▇▇▇ Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 265 (ATU). This agreement between the parties clarifies the understanding concerning a pilot sign-up related to the process of vacation scheduling for Maintenance Section employees. Effective with the sign up for calendar year 2005, Maintenance Section employees shall sign up for vacations by Division and choice of vacation dates shall be in order of VTA seniority within their Division by shift and classification in the year in which the vacation is to be taken. The pilot program can be terminated by either party. If not continued, the parties agree to meet and discuss potential changes to the pilot program for implementation in the calendar year 2006 Maintenance Section sign-up.
