Common use of Mastectomy Reconstructive Surgery Clause in Contracts

Mastectomy Reconstructive Surgery. Covered Services are provided in the same manner and at the same level as those for any other Covered Health Service, and also as required by the Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998, as follows:  All stages of reconstruction of the breast on which the mastectomy has been performed;  Surgery and reconstruction of the other breast to produce a symmetrical appearance;  Prostheses; and  Treatment of physical complications of mastectomy, including lymphedema, in a manner determined in consultation with the attending provider and the patient.
