Material Handler. A Material Handler may be utilized in ratio of one (1) Material Handler with any five (5) Journeymen on any given project. Duties shall be limited to pick-up and delivery of material, shop tools, demolition of and removal of existing floor covering, moving of furniture, fixtures or equipment, cleaning or waxing of floors before and after installation. Material Handlers may not perform bargaining unit work as defined in Article II, Section 2 of this Agreement.

Material Handler. Material Handlers shall be restricted to the handling of material, on the ground or on a roof.
Material Handler. A Material Handler is defined as a shop worker who performs tasks of routine and highly repetitive nature relating to high volume production. The Material Handler may also perform other tasks such as clean up, receiving and truck driving. The ratio of Material Handlers to other regular workers (Journeymen and Apprentices) shall be as follows:

Assembles small component parts such as drawer boxes and sub-base; attaches hardware items such as door hinges, drawer slides, and pulls. Sands items such as wood trim, handrails, and windowsills. Removes finished product from the assembly line and transport vans; prepares product for transit; operates various loading carts. Assists with movement of materials at local or regional jobsites.
Material Handler. As per the July 3, 1997, decision of the NJAB the scope-of-work for Material Handlers under the Industrial Addendum will include the same scope of work for the Material Handler as per the Building Trades Agreement plus the following: polishing, (sanding, grinding, blending), fire watch, grouting, delivering material to job site destination, de- burring of materials, demolition. All Material Handler scope-of-work performed under the Industrial Addendum to include shop and field. Back payment of all fringe benefits will be required commencing on the first day of employment following successful completion of the 30 day probationary period.

Material Handler. Is an employee who is responsible for stocking parts on the assembly line as required and reports back on the usage of said stock in a timely manner. In addition, responsible to verify proper packaging, counting, identification, quality, containerization, tagging, and other customer and plant requirements be met. From time to time, the material handler will perform other duties as assigned by management. The Material Handler may use motorized handcarts (walk behinds) in the performance of duties.
