Medical and Dental Appointments / Parenting / Caregiver Leave. Employees shall be entitled to use their sick leave credits to attend medical or dental appointments for themselves. In addition employees shall be entitled to use up to three (3) days per year from their sick leave credits for the following: i) to accompany a spouse, child or parent who is unable because of age or medical condition to attend medical appointments alone, provided such appointments cannot be scheduled during non-working hours; and ii) in the event that no one other than the employee can provide for the needs of a spouse, child or parent during an illness.
