Shifts. In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.
Shifts. 1. Dog Handlers shall work forty (40) hours per week on such schedules as operational considerations may require. 2. The parties agree that the permanent shift modifications in this Article will not be considered as a precedent by either party for any purpose in negotiations.
Shifts a. Nurses will be deemed to be assigned for shifts as follows: Half or more of the nurse’s assigned hours are between the hours of: Shift 7 a. m. and 3 p.m. Day 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. Evening 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Night Such assigned hours do not include hours which fit the definition of daily overtime hours under Article V, Section D. b. Nurses assigned for evening, and night, and weekend shifts shall be paid, in addition to the appropriate Staff Nurse rate set forth in Section A above, as follows: i. Evening shift: $2.504.00 per hour. ii. Night Shift: $ 5.80 $8.00 per hour. iii. Weekend Shift: $4.50 per hour. c. If the nurse’s assigned hours fit more than one shift definition under subparagraph a above, the nurse will be deemed to be assigned for the shift with the higher shift differential. d. If a nurse is assigned to work hours which fit the definition of daily overtime hours under Article V, Section D, the nurse shall be paid shift differential, if any, for such daily overtime hours according to the nurse’s assigned shift under 1 above. However, if a nurse works four (4) or more hours of such daily overtime in a workday, the applicable shift differential for such daily overtime hours shall be the higher of (a) the shift differential of the nurse’s assigned shift or
Shifts. Work may be structured in shifts every day of the week. If shift work is done on only 5 days of the week during the period 17:00–8:00, then the working week shall be only 38 hours. Each shift shall not be longer than 12 hours and not shorter than four hours. Each shift shall run as a continuous period. For the purpose of this agreement, “shift” refers to a pre-determined working arrangement. Work done by part-time workers over and above their FT/PT ratio shall be paid for at hourly rates, at daytime rates for work in the daytime working period, at overtime rates outside the daytime working period and on contractually-defined holidays and at the rates for major public holidays for work done on major public holidays Shifts shall normally be planned out for four weeks at a time. The shift scheme shall be posted where workers have easy access to it one week before work according to the scheme is due to begin. When the scheme is drawn up, effort shall be made, as far as possible, to ensure that work during peak periods is divided evenly between the workers. Each worker’s working scheme shall be determined in his employment contract and may not be changed without prior termination of the contract or by agreement.

Shifts. Employees shall be scheduled to work on regular work shifts having regular but not necessarily uniform starting and quitting times. These work shifts shall be made known to the employees and shall not be changed without notice to the employee at least fourteen
Shifts. The superintendent or his/her designee shall meet with the association president and solicit input regarding the change in shift time. The Board reserves the right to change the above regular starting hours in order to accommodate special needs.
Shifts. ‌ A. Flexible Schedules - Scheduling of shift work, including Saturday and Sunday work, shall be within the discretion of the Contractor in order to meet Program Work schedules and existing Program Work conditions including the minimization of interference with the mission of the Agency. It is not necessary to work a day shift in order to schedule a second or third shift, or a second shift in order to schedule a third shift, or to schedule all of the crafts when only certain crafts or employees are needed. Shifts must have prior approval of the Agency or Construction Manager, and must be scheduled with not less than five work days notice to the Local Union or such lesser notice as may be mutually agreed upon. B. Second and/or Third Shifts/Saturday and/or Sunday Work - - The second shift shall start between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and the third shift shall start between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., subject to different times necessitated by the Agency phasing plans on specific projects. There shall be no reduction in shift hour work. With respect to second and third shift work there shall be a 5% shift premium. No other premium or other payments for such work shall be required unless such work is in excess of the employee’s regularly scheduled work week, i.e., 40 hours in the week or thirty five (35) or thirty seven and one half (37 ½) pursuant to Article 12, section 1(A). All employees within a 40 Execution Copy 2015-2018 classification performing Program Work will be paid at the same wage rate regardless of the shift or work scheduled work, subject only to the foregoing provisions. C. Flexible Starting Times - Shift starting times will be adjusted by the Contractor as necessary to fulfill Program Work requirements subject to the notice requirements of paragraph A.
Shifts. Shift work shall be permitted in all classifications, without restrictions, on the following basis:
Shifts. The employee's workday shall be the regularly scheduled shift with a fixed starting and quitting time. There shall be no changes in the existing workday schedule, without the mutual consent of the parties to this Agreement. When it becomes necessary to assign employees to either a second or third shift, the following methods will apply: 1) The utilization of seniority within the respective department on a request basis; 2) If an insufficient number of employees are still unavailable, then inverse seniority will apply. When employees are used on the second shift, a 7% shift differential will be applied to their hourly rate. When employees are used on the third shift, a 9% shift differential will be applied to their hourly rate.
