Common use of Medical and Dental Benefits Continuation Clause in Contracts

Medical and Dental Benefits Continuation. In consideration of the hardships caused by layoff to employees and their families, the College shall pay the entire COBRA premium for those employees enrolled in the College’s medical and dental plan at the time they receive notice of the layoff and who elect COBRA for two (2) months after the effective date of the layoff. These provisions apply only if the skilled service employees are excluded from the State Personnel Management System (SPMS) and become part of the College’s personnel system (or when legally possible).
