Medication Support Services include. i. Prescribing, administering, dispensing and monitoring of psychiatric medications or biologicals, necessary to alleviate the symptoms of mental illness; ii. Evaluation of the need for medication, prescribing and/or dispensing; iii. Evaluation of clinical effectiveness and side effects of medication; iv. Obtaining informed consent for medication(s); and v. Medication education (including discussing risks, benefits and alternatives with the consumer or significant support persons).
