Common use of Member-Initiated Requests Clause in Contracts

Member-Initiated Requests. A member desiring to transfer from one building to another shall file a “Teacher’s Request for Transfer.” Prior to April 15, any member may, in writing, withdraw a request to transfer and the withdrawal shall be honored. The Executive Director – Human Resources shall notify the President of the total number of teacher-initiated requests for each building prior to May 10. Whenever the requests for transfer within a building exceed thirty percent (30%) of the number of members within the building, an investigation of causes within the building shall be conducted during the ensuing school year by a committee composed of the AEA Professional Problems Committee and a committee appointed by the Executive Director – Human Resources. The results of the study, with appropriate recommendations, shall be forwarded to the Superintendent.
