Members of the Faculty. The College seeks to avoid the hierarchical distinctions in faculty rank characterizing traditional institutions. While faculty members may carry different types of appointments as described in this Article, all faculty members shall be appointed to the rank of “Member of the Faculty.” In those cases where indication of a professional specialty is relevant, designation of particular discipline(s) can be made in parentheses (e.g., “Member of the Faculty (Biology)”).
