Membership Standing Clause Samples

The Membership Standing clause defines the requirements and conditions a member must meet to maintain their status within an organization or association. Typically, this clause outlines obligations such as payment of dues, adherence to codes of conduct, or participation in required activities, and may specify consequences for failing to meet these standards, such as suspension or loss of membership rights. Its core function is to ensure that all members remain in good standing, thereby upholding the integrity and orderly operation of the organization.
Membership Standing. An individual shall remain a member in good standing as long as valid payroll deduction of dues authorization remains in effect or cash dues payments are made timely. Membership shall be suspended or terminated only pursuant to the provisions of Articles XII or XIII of the OCSEA State Constitution.
Membership Standing. (a) No member shall be considered to be in good standing when his or her dues are more than 3 months in arrears. (b) A Member not in good standing shall be considered delinquent, and subject to suspension. (c) A suspended Member shall be required to pay a rejoining fee in accordance with the International Constitution.
