Common use of Merchant Certification Program Clause in Contracts

Merchant Certification Program. MP will be provided the opportunity to participate in any generally applicable "Certified Merchant" program operated by ICQ or its authorized agents or contractors. Such program may require merchant participants on an ongoing basis to meet certain reasonable, generally applicable standards relating to provision of electronic commerce through the ICQ Network (including, as a minimum, use of 40-bit SSL encryption and if requested by ICQ, 128-bit encryption) and may also require the payment of certain reasonable certification fees to the applicable entity operating the program. Each Certified Merchant in good standing will be entitled to place on its affiliated Interactive Site an ICQ designed and approved button promoting the merchant's status as an ICQ Certified Merchant.
