Methadone Liquid. Methadone must be consumed directly from the patient’s labelled dispensing bottle. The accredited Pharmacist or authorised Pharmacy Technician shall observe the consumption of methadone by the client. The client should then be offered a drink of water (also helps prevent tooth decay) and engage in conversation with the client. This is to ensure that the methadone has been swallowed.
