Midday Routes. In order for a school bus driver to be assigned to a midday route, the driver must be assigned to work both a morning (a.m.) and evening (p.m.) assignment on a daily basis. Drivers who are assigned a midday route shall not be able to take daytime field trips if it interferes with their midday route.

Midday Routes a. AM/PM routes scheduled for less than twenty-five (25) hours per week may have Midday routes attached as part of a route set. Midday routes not attached to part of a route set will be placed in a Midday route binder as stand-alone routes to be selected by seniority during route selection. Midday routes consist of AM session take home and PM session pickup Early Childhood routes. b. If a Midday route is added to a short route for route selection at the beginning of the year, but during the year is no longer needed to meet the twenty-five (25) hour requirement, that Midday route will be put up for selection if the Driver no longer wishes to drive that part of the route.
Midday Routes. These are routes that happen during the regular school day (between the AM & PM Routes) and involve picking up and returning students as described above.
Midday Routes. Drivers not receiving a midday assignment may participate in a separate bidding process for midday subbing only. This bidding will be in order of seniority in rotating order. The substitute midday routes will be displayed 24 hours in advance of the bid. The bid will be on Friday of the first full week of school. Times for the substitute bidding will be posted on Monday of the bid week. Drivers may authorize another driver in writing to pick for them. Any midday route which becomes available for a sub assignment after the bidding process is compete will be posted and awarded to the most senior driver eligible to bid on the route. Drivers can only select substitute midday routes which are compatible with their regular assignment and do not result in the driver going into overtime status for the week. Failure to drive a specific sub route five (5) times when requested during the course of the school year can cause the driver to be dropped as the assigned sub for that specific route. The route will then be reposted with that driver not being eligible to bid on the route.
Midday Routes. Midday is defined as any route beginning after 10 a.m. and ending before 12:30 p.m. Each midday route will have a regular driver assigned as a substitute. Regular drivers assigned as substitutes on midday routes are expected to sub when needed. However, if the regular assigned substitute has a pre-assigned field trip, the driver/aide may choose either the field trip or midday. If the driver chooses the pre-assigned field trip over the midday route, they will not receive a strike. Should the driver/aide choose to sub on the midday route and turn down their trip, they will be placed on the make-up list. If the driver/aide is not available to sub when asked, they will need to fill out a refusal slip. After six (6) refusals to sub on a midday route, their name will be removed for the remainder of the school year. Any sub called less than one and one-half (1-1/2) hour before the clock-in time and unable to drive shall not have this counted as a refusal. Any sub on an approved leave shall not have this counted as a refusal.
Midday Routes. The accumulation of seniority for these routes shall begin from the bargaining unit member’s first working day on the preschool midday route. 29.14.01 Preschool midday routes bus drivers will receive a flat rate as specified in the salary schedule. This is based on a one (1) hour run. Anything over one (1) hour shall be paid in fifteen (15) minute increments. 29.14.02 When a regular driver substitutes for a preschool midday driver, the regular driver shall be paid the regular preschool midday rate. 29.14.03 Drivers, including preschool midday route drivers, will be paid two (2) hours per school year at their hourly rate for completing required paperwork, i.e. routing, rerouting and state reports. These hours will be included in the annual salary notification.

Midday drivers are required to work two hours every day and will receive two hours of pay. c. Sick days and personal days cannot be used for midday routes. Midday drivers who do not drive their midday route, will not receive payment for that day. d. Two hours of holiday pay will be given to current midday drivers (as of 6/2/17) who are eligible for holiday pay for that day. e. Midday drivers are not eligible for shuttles or field trips.

  • Routes All bus stops and bus routes will be mutually agreed upon prior to the start of the school year. Additional stops will be not be added until approved by SSAS and reviewed for safety and approved by the School Board’s Transportation Department.   • Hourly Rate (A) The amounts shall be computed by multiplying the appropriate hourly rates prescribed in the Agreement by the number of direct labor hours (DLH) performed. Fractional parts of an hour shall be payable on a prorated basis. The hourly rates shall include wages, indirect costs, general and administrative expenses, and profit. (B) Hourly rate means the rate(s) specified in the Agreement for payment for labor that meets the labor category qualifications of a labor category specified in the Agreement that are performed by the Seller, performed by the subcontractors, or transferred between divisions, subsidiaries, or affiliates of the Seller under a common control. (C) Labor hours incurred to perform tasks for which labor qualifications were specified in the Agreement will not be paid to the extent the work is performed by individuals that do not meet the specified qualification. (D) Seller shall substantiate invoices (including any subcontractor hours reimbursed at the hourly rate in the Agreement) by evidence of actual payment and by individual daily job timecards, records that verify the employees meet the qualifications for the labor categories specified in the Agreement, or other substantiation approved by Company. (E) Unless otherwise prescribed in this Agreement, Company may withhold five percent of the amounts due under this paragraph, with the total amount withheld not to exceed $50,000. The amounts withheld shall be retained until the execution and delivery of a release by Xxxxxx as provided below. (F) Unless this Agreement prescribes otherwise, hourly rates shall not be varied by virtue of Seller having performed work on an overtime basis. If overtime rates are provided, the premium portion will be reimbursable only to the extent the overtime is approved by Company.
