Middleware Architecture Clause Samples

The 'Middleware architecture' clause defines the structure and requirements for the software components that facilitate communication and data management between different systems or applications. Typically, this clause outlines the specific middleware technologies to be used, integration standards, and responsibilities for maintaining interoperability, such as specifying the use of message brokers, APIs, or service buses. Its core practical function is to ensure seamless connectivity and data exchange across diverse platforms, thereby reducing integration complexity and promoting system scalability.
Middleware Architecture. The SoftFIRE Middleware is the central software component of the SoftFIRE federation. It exposes a REST API that can be consumed either via a CLI or a dashboard. The experimenter is supposed to use the dashboard for running its experiments on demand on the SoftFIRE platform. The middleware’s southbound interface is directed towards the available testbeds of Deutsche Telekom, Fraunhofer FOKUS, Ericsson, the University of Surrey and Assembly Data System S.p.A, managed by individual OpenStack controllers and exposing their functions through remote APIs.
Middleware Architecture. This section gives a short overview of the components currently available in the EGEE gLite grid middleware. Figure 2-1 below depicts the gLite high level services, which can thematically be grouped into five service families: Access Services, Information and Monitoring Services, Job Management Services, Data Management Services and Security Related Services. For more detailed descriptions refer to [5]. The following subsections briefly present the gLite grid middleware components grouped by service types. Only major gLite components considered to be relevant to the scope of the neuGRID project are listed and described.

This Agreement contemplates both Fixed Price Deliverables-based (FP) work orders and Time and Materials (T&M) work orders. Fixed Price Deliverables-based engagements will be priced based on the estimated cost of producing the deliverables and the relative risk associated with the individual work order. As such, no rates or discount level is provided for FP projects in the Agreement. Services acquired on a Time and Materials (T&M) Work Order will be provided to the County at the GSA consulting rates current as of the effective date for the Work Order for aggregate labor costs equal to or less than $600,000. Oracle’s GSA consulting rates can be found at ▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/corporate/pricing/GSA_pricelist.pdf. Services acquired on a Time and Materials (T&M) Work Order for aggregate labor costs exceeding $600,000 will be provided to the County at a 44% discount to our then ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇ Commercial consulting rates. The option to extend the contract a second time contained in paragraph 11.1 notwithstanding, the above discount shall expire at the end of the initial two (2) year extension term. Contractor and County shall negotiate in good faith the labor rates for any extension of the Agreement beyond the initial two (2) year extension term.
