Minimum Overtime Rates Sample Clauses

The Minimum Overtime Rates clause establishes the lowest hourly wage or pay rate that must be provided to employees for hours worked beyond their standard work schedule. Typically, this means that any time worked over a set threshold, such as 40 hours per week, must be compensated at a higher rate—often one and a half times the regular hourly wage. This clause ensures that employees are fairly compensated for extra work and protects them from being underpaid for overtime hours, thereby promoting fair labor practices and compliance with employment laws.
