Miscellaneous Metals. Items shall use the best commercial quality for the purpose of items specified, free of defects impairing strength, durability, finish or appearance. Materials shall be formed truly and uniformly to required shape, size, sharp lines, and smooth surfaces. Separate dissimilar materials with caulking, bituminous paint or gasket as approved.
Miscellaneous Metals. Grating. Steel grating floors will use grating manufactured in accordance with applicable requirements of the Metal Bar Grating Manual published by NAAMM. Steel grating will be welded bar grating, with 3/16-inch wide by 1-1/4-inch deep bearing bars. All interior grating will be painted and exterior grating will be galvanized. All gratings will lie flat with no tendency to rock when installed. For each panel, the transverse bow will not exceed 1/8 inch per foot of panel width, with no transverse bow to exceed 3/8 inch. The longitudinal bow will not exceed 1/200 of the panel length. All penetrations equal to or greater than 5 inches in diameter or 5 inches in diagonal length shall be banded with kickplate material or standard weight pipe and shop fabricated where possible to meet project restraints. o Kickplate. Kickplate will be applied to all platform areas as required to satisfy OSHA standards for protection of personnel. It will consist of 1/4-inch thick steel plate, ASTM A36, and will project 4 inches above the platform surface. Kickplate will receive the same type of coating as the material to which it is attached.
Miscellaneous Metals. 5.2.1 Miscellaneous metal items are to be provided where necessary and are to include the following: roof screens.
Miscellaneous Metals. All metal stair will be priced under the Core and Shell GMP.
Miscellaneous Metals. Shop primed, A36 steel, rolled sections. Sizes and shapes best suited for intended use and capable of sustained imposed loads.

b. One (1) painted ships ladder is included.
c. Pained 6” bollards are provided at dock stairs.
d. Track protection and bent plate jambs are provided at each OH door.
Miscellaneous Metals. Provide shell stairs and rails, roof ladders, structural and miscellaneous steel for concrete panel connection.
Miscellaneous Metals. Steel tread dock stairs, access ladders and concrete filled pipe bollards shall be provided as indicated on the drawings.
Miscellaneous Metals a) As required, lintels, sill angles, roof frames and other miscellaneous metals shall be provided and painted to match structural steel.
b) As required, exterior pipe handrails shall be provided at exterior stairs.
c) Metal channel protectors shall be provided to a height of 4' at all overhead doors.
d) An interior roof ladder with a cage shall be installed to provide access to the roof.
