MLA’s Responsibilities. (a) Philanthropic and Other Support. MLA shall make reasonable efforts to raise philanthropic contributions of cash or property or in kind donations for the benefit of the MLA School(s) to pay for the start-up costs identified below (“Philanthropic Funds”). The Philanthropic funds may be donated to MLA, directly to the District or to a private or public foundation by the donors for the uses specified in this MOU and the donors’ terms governing the donation.
