School Calendar. The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.
School Calendar. 3.1 The Board agrees that the Association may name at least four (4) members to the Superintendent's Calendar Committee for the duration of this agreement.
3.2 The Board agrees to provide the teachers with six (6) paid holidays per school year for the duration of this agreement.
3.3 Non-student contact days for teachers shall be designated as six (6) Work Days and
School Calendar. Representatives of this Association shall participate in the formation of the school calendar prior to its being adopted by the Board of Education.
School Calendar. Prior to January thirteenth (13th) of each school year, the Association may provide input to the Superintendent regarding the school calendar for the ensuing year. If such input is provided, the Superintendent shall consider the Association’s input before making his/her recommendation to the Board, and shall also forward the Association’s recommendation to the Board.
School Calendar. The Board and the Union shall work cooperatively to set the School Board calendar. The calendar shall not be changed without bargaining over the impact, except for changes necessitated by local, state or national emergencies. Where bargaining is not required, the School Board shall specifically solicit input from the Union.
School Calendar. The Superintendent shall meet and consult with representatives of the Association prior to submitting the School Calendar to the School Board for their approval.
School Calendar. A. The School shall adopt a school calendar with an instructional program that meets the compulsory school attendance requirements of state law, financial guidelines, and state regulations. The fiscal year for the School will be from July 1st to June 30th. Each year the School will develop a calendar and submit it to the District by April 15th. The School will implement a calendar with at least as many instructional hours as the District.
School Calendar. For the term of this Agreement the school calendar shall be set forth in Schedule A. There shall be no deviation from or change in the school calendar except by mutual agreement of the Board and the Association. The Board (after consultation with the Association) may schedule additional days of student instruction if this becomes necessary to qualify for full state aid.
