MOTOR VEHICLES AND DRIVING LICENCES. 6.2.1 If any Employee is required to drive a vehicle as part of his or her duties, such Employee shall be required to hold and maintain a current and valid driver’s license to be able to execute properly the Employee’s various duties. Failure to hold such a valid and current driver’s license will be considered to be a fundamental breach by the Employee concerned and may lead to the termination of the Employee’s employment. 6.2.2 Where a vehicle owned by the Employer is not available for necessary work travel, and an Employee is required to use the Employee’s own motor vehicle in the conduct of the Employee’s duties, then a vehicle allowance of 40c per kilometre will be paid on approval by the Employer. 6.2.3 The Employer shall not be liable for any fines or other penalties incurred by any Employee during the course of driving any of the Employer’s vehicles and the Employee hereby indemnifies the Employer against same.
