(a) Employees who identify themselves as Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander employees are eligible to one day of special leave per annum to participate in National Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander Day celebrations. An employee who qualifies for this leave may negotiate with their supervisor exactly when the leave will be taken. It may be taken at any time leading up to, during or immediately after NAIDOC week.
