National Service Criminal History Check. Member’s service as an AmeriCorps member is contingent on the results of the criminal background and sex offender registry check. Any person convicted of murder as defined and described in section 1111 of title 18, United States Code, as well as anyone who is registered or required to be registered as a sex offender is ineligible to serve as an AmeriCorps member. Member understands that he/she/they have the right to challenge the factual accuracy of any findings.
