Common use of Negotiations for a New Compact Clause in Contracts

Negotiations for a New Compact. No sooner than eighteen (18) months before the termination date of this Compact set forth in section 11.2.1, either party may request the other party to enter into negotiations to extend the term of this Compact or to enter into a new Class III Gaming compact. If the parties have not agreed to extend the term of this Compact or have not entered into a new compact by the termination date in section 11.2.1, this Compact shall automatically be extended for one (1) calendar year.
