NO JOINT OBLIGATION TO PAY. (a) The Band agrees with each of Canada and Saskatchewan that the obligations of Saskatchewan and Canada to make payments to the Treaty Land Entitlement (Saskatchewan) Fund are several, and not joint or joint and several and, subject only to the application of subsection 3.07(b), Canada shall have no obligation to pay to the Band any portion of its Entitlement Monies that relate to any amounts that were to be paid by Saskatchewan to the Treaty Land Entitlement (Saskatchewan) Fund, but which have not been so paid by Saskatchewan.

(b) Canada agrees that, in the event of any default in payment by Saskatchewan to the Treaty Land Entitlement (Saskatchewan) Fund, Canada shall take all reasonable steps, at Canada's expense, to enforce Saskatchewan's obligation hereunder for the benefit of the Band.
