No Net Short Position Clause Samples

The No Net Short Position clause prohibits a party from holding a net short position in a specified security or asset. In practice, this means that the party must ensure that the total of their short positions does not exceed their long positions, effectively preventing them from profiting if the asset's value declines. This clause is commonly used in financing or investment agreements to maintain market stability and prevent manipulative trading practices, ensuring that parties have a vested interest in the asset's performance rather than betting against it.
