Shift Differential Pay. Employees in the classifications listed in Appendices B and F are eligible for differential pay when working during the following hours:
Shift Differential Pay. SECTION 1: In addition to the compensation provided by the wage schedule, employees working between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. shall be paid a shift differential premium of fifty (.50) cents per hour in addition to the regular pay for those hours.
Shift Differential Pay. A $2.50 per hour payment shall be paid to any employee assigned regularly established shift differential assignments. For purposes of this Section, shift differential hours are 5:00 P.M. to 8:30 A.M. and all day Saturday and Sunday. Shift differential is a premium payment and is, therefore, included in the computation of overtime. The schedule for employees working a flex time or compressed schedule shall not be considered shift differential hours.
Shift Differential Pay. A. An employee shall receive additional compensation at the rate of seventy five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.
B. In lieu of compensation set forth in paragraph A above, employees shall receive additional compensation at the rate of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.
C. Notwithstanding A and B above, in a situation where an employee works a shift evenly divided before and after 12:00 midnight, the employee shall receive additional compensation in the amount of seventy-five (75¢) per hour for one-half the hours worked on the shift, and one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for one-half the hours worked on the shift.
Shift Differential Pay. A. Eight‐hour shifts shall be set by each department in consultation with the division head, in accordance with University operational needs.
B. Employees who work the second shift shall be paid a 5% differential per hour.
C. Employees who work the third shift shall be paid a 10% differential per hour.
D. Employees asked to work early or late in addition to their regular assigned shift hours will be paid in accordance with FLSA requirements and will not be paid any additional shift differential.
Shift Differential Pay. Nights – third (3rd) shift: The shift differential shall be seventy cents ($.70) per hour for the night shift. The night shift differential shall be paid for any shift where the majority of hours scheduled occurs after 11:00 p.m. The evening shift differential shall be sixty cents ($.60) per hour The evening shift differential shall be paid for any shift where the majority of hours scheduled occurs after 3:00 p.m.
Shift Differential Pay. Notwithstanding the provisions of Note N of Schedule A of Section 4.61 of the LAAC where an employee qualifies to receive premium pay when 50% of their shift falls between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 A.M., any employee who is assigned a work schedule that ends at 9:00 p.m. or later shall receive for each such day worked salary at the second premium level rate above the employee’s step rate of the salary range prescribed for the class of the employee working the qualifying shift. The procedure for the payment of adjusted compensation for work performed under the provisions of this Article shall be in accordance with Sections 4.72, 4.74, and 4.75 of the LAAC. This compensation is pensionable when regularly assigned and non-pensionable when assigned on a daily basis.
Shift Differential Pay. Employees shall be eligible for an additional one-dollar and twenty cents, ($1.20) per hour pay when assigned to a night shift. Night shift is defined as one which begins at 6:00 PM or later. In order to be eligible for the shift differential, the following conditions must be met:
(a) The schedule change must be temporary in nature.
(b) The schedule change must be required and authorized by a supervisor. Shift Differential pay does not apply to employees working regular daytime hours and then overtime during non-regularly scheduled hours. Employees shall not be eligible for shift differential pay for any schedule change which results in overtime pay.
Shift Differential Pay. A regular employee who is required as part of a normal work schedule to work a majority of the shift between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., or who work the majority of their scheduled shift on the Saturday and Sunday day shift between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. shall receive, in addition to regular pay, one dollar ($1.00) per hour for each shift worked as shift differential compensation. The shift differential shall be pro-rated to the nearest seventy-five cents ($.75) for each one-fourth (1/4) of the shift served during the qualifying period. Employees shall not be entitled to shift differential compensation while on sick leave, vacation or other paid leaves. The reassignment by the appointing authority of an employee from a shift covered by differential pay to a shift not covered by differential pay shall not be considered as a demotion or loss of pay and shall not be subject to the grievance or appeal process. Employees who are working on a voluntary alternative work schedule are not entitled to any shift differential that is a result of this schedule change.
Shift Differential Pay. All employees whose duties require them to work a shift schedule, which includes afternoon and/or night and/or irregular shifts, will be entitled to shift differential pay as follows:
