No Retroactivity Except for Wages. There will be no retroactive effect given to any article or matter arising between the parties prior to the date of signing, except for wages. Retroactive pay will be processed not later than 60 working days from the date that both parties signed the agreement. Employees who have retired or moved to another position outside this bargaining unit within HRM will be included in this processing of retroactivity to the extent that they are eligible.

(b) A former Employee who has terminated employment with the Employer between November 1, 2015 and date of signing of the collective agreement shall receive by direct deposit to the former Employee’s bank account retroactive pay for which s/he is entitled. In the event the former Employee has not provided the Employer with the required banking information, the former Employee will not be eligible for the retroactive pay unless the former Employee requests in writing the payment by cheque and provides the Employer with his/her current mailing address. The request must be received by the Employer within thirty (30) days of the signing date of the collective agreement, otherwise the former Employee will forfeit all rights to the retroactive pay.
