Common use of No Waiver or Release Clause in Contracts

No Waiver or Release. The consent by Landlord to any assignment or subletting shall not be construed as a waiver or release of Tenant from the terms of any covenant or obligation under this Lease, nor shall the collection of acceptance of rent from any such assignee, subtenant or occupant constitute a waiver or release of Tenant of any covenant or obligation contained in this Lease, nor shall any such assignment or subletting be construed to relieve Tenant (or its representatives, successors, or assigns) from obtaining the consent in writing of Landlord to any further assignment or subletting. In the event that Tenant defaults hereunder, Tenant hereby assigns to Landlord the rent due from any subtenant of Tenant and hereby authorizes each such subtenant to pay said rent directly to Landlord.

In the event that Tenant defaults hereunder, Tenant hereby assigns to Landlord the rent due from any subtenant of Tenant and hereby authorizes each such subtenant to pay said rent directly to Landlord.
