Common use of Non-dependent Clause in Contracts

Non-dependent. Dependent - If you are covered under a plan and you are the main subscriber, the benefits of that plan will be determined before the benefits of a plan which covers you as a dependent. If, however, you are a Medicare beneficiary, Medicare will be the primary plan. Medicare will provide the benefits first. If one of your dependents covered under this agreement is a student, the benefits of any other coverage available because of student enrollment (except accident-only type coverage) will be determined before the benefits under this agreement.
