Common use of Non-District Plan Clause in Contracts

Non-District Plan. 11.14.5.1 The retiring employee may elect to be covered by a health plan other than a District health plan and the established monthly District contribution level shall apply if the retiree is eligible for the District contribution and incurs an out-of-pocket premium expense. Annual verification of premium cost is required. If verification is not received when requested, the District contribution will be stopped until verification is received and will be reinstated prospectively only. Except as provided below, once a health plan other than the District’s plan is selected, the retiring employee or retiree will not be allowed to re-enroll in a District health plan unless an open enrollment period for such retirees is approved by the District health carriers and offered by Los Xxxx.
