Common use of Non-Routine (Emergency) Assignments Clause in Contracts

Non-Routine (Emergency) Assignments. Non-routine (emergency) assignments include last-minute uncovered assignments or other urgent need for a Nurse ("Emergency Assignments"). If the Provider accepts an Emergency Assignment, the assigned Nurse must be on site within 2 hours of notice from the Board or the scheduled assignment start time, whichever is earlier. However, if the Provider's Routine Assignment staff does not show up for a Routine Assignment, coverage of that no-show shall not constitute an Emergency Assignment. Provider must cover absences of all Routine Assignments.
