Noncompetition and Nonsolicitation of Customers. (a) The Employee agrees that during the Noncompete Period (as defined herein), without the prior written consent of the Company, Employee shall refrain, directly or indirectly, and whether as a principal, agent, employee, owner, partner, officer, director, shareholder, member or otherwise, alone or in association with any other person or entity, from carrying on or engaging in a business similar to that of the Company and/or from soliciting customers of the Company within the Designated Area, so long as the Company carries on like a business therein.
