NORMAL WORK WEEK HOURS. Forty (40) hours will be the standard work week for all employees whose salary or wage is paid in whole or in part by the Employer. When any employee is required by an authorized administrative authority to be in an active pay status more than forty (40) hours in a work week, they shall be paid in accordance with the overtime pay provisions of this Contract and not in violation of applicable State or Federal law. An employee must receive approval from their authorized administrative authority prior to working overtime hours. The normal work day will usually be eight (8) hours.
