Common use of Notice and Variation Clause in Contracts

Notice and Variation. (i) A staff member shall give not less than ten week’s notice in writing to the School of the date the staff member proposes to commence parental leave stating the period of leave to be taken. (ii) A staff member proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of parental leave and may at any time during that period of leave elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application provided one term’s written notice is provided. This period may be reduced at the discretion of the Headmaster.
