Common use of Notice and Variation Clause in Contracts

Notice and Variation. (i) The employee shall give not less than four week's notice in writing to the Department of Minerals and Energy of the date the employee proposes to commence maternity leave stating the period of leave to be taken. (ii) An employee proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of maternity leave and may at any time during that period of leave elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application provided four weeks written notice is provided.
