Covered Entity will obtain any consent or authorization that may be required by the Privacy Rule, or applicable state law, prior to furnishing Business Associate with PHI. Covered Entity will notify Business Associate of any changes in, or revocation of, permission by an Individual to use or disclose PHI, to the extent that such changes may affect Business Associate’s use or disclosure of PHI. Covered Entity will provide such notice no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the effective date of the change.
