Notification of Shift Change. Employees wishing to change from one shift to another vacant shift within the same classification and job title shall submit the request in writing. Seniority will be utilized to fill the vacant shift, except when a bona fide occupational qualification exists (i.e., a female Custodian required for the women’s locker room). Except in an emergency situation, unit members and the Association will be notified in writing at least five (5) work days prior to a shift or working hour change.
