Notification to Return to Work. In the event a bargaining unit member returning from a leave of absence fails to notify his or her immediate supervisor of the unit member's intention to return from leave by the time specified by the District and a substitute reports for service, the substitute shall be permitted to serve and the unit member shall be on unpaid leave of absence for the day.
