Nursing Employer Transfers Sample Clauses
Nursing Employer Transfers. The Employer agrees that employees may be permitted to transfer from one (1) nursing Employer to another nursing Employer in the chain in the Province of Ontario for their own personal convenience and at their own expense, subject to the following conditions.
(a) Employees wishing to transfer must notify, in writing, the Administrator of the nursing home to which they would like to transfer, within thirty (30) days of ceasing her relationship with the former nursing home. Such notice shall include the Employee’s qualifications, present position, scheduling preferences (if any), and when they would be available to commence work.
(b) An applicant, who is permitted to transfer from one (1) nursing Employer to another as a result of this transfer procedure, will retain any seniority that they had previously accrued and the applicable wage rate shall be paid according to the position to which the Employee transferred. However, an employee so transferring will only be able to exercise nursing home seniority for purposes of transfers, promotions, layoffs and reductions in staff.
(c) In the event an employee is employed (not transferred) into this nursing home and has recent/related experience at another nursing home, in the same chain clause (b) above shall apply as it relates to seniority and wage rate.
