Obligations of Business Associate/QSO Upon Termination. (i) Upon termination of this Agreement for any reason, Business Associate/QSO shall return to Covered Entity or, at the Covered Entity’s discretion and direction, destroy all protected health information received from Covered Entity, or created, maintained, or received by Business Associate/QSO on behalf of Covered Entity, that the Business Associate/QSO still maintains in any form. This provision shall apply to protected health information that is in the possession of the Business Associate/QSO or agents of the Business Associate/QSO. Business Associate/QSO shall retain no copies of the protected health information.
