Common use of Open Negotiations Clause in Contracts

Open Negotiations. Each party may annually open negotiations on additional articles other than salary and health benefits. Additional articles may be opened or introduced by mutual agreement of the parties or as the result of new legislation. Beginning the 2015-2016 school year, negotiations will be limited to four articles per side in addition to salary and benefits. 25.1 During the term of any agreement, either party may negotiate salary, benefits, and two other articles. The parties may also open any other articles upon mutual agreement.
