Common use of Opening, Recording and Publications of Tenders Received Clause in Contracts

Opening, Recording and Publications of Tenders Received. Tenders will be opened on the closing date immediately after the closing time specified in the tender documents. The names of the bidders, and if practical, the total amount of each bid and of any alternative bids will be read out aloud. Telexed, faxed or e-mailed tenders will not be accepted. The tender forms should be carefully completed and no errors will be condoned after tenders have been opened. The Bidder will be liable to take out forward cover to barricade him/her against fluctuation of the exchange rate in the event of importing any component, related to the quotation, from a country dealing in currency other than that of South Africa.
