OPERATION, EFFECTIVE DATE, AND TERM OF AGREEMENT. (a) This Agreement shall commence on the date hereof and continue in effect through December 31, 2000; provided, however, that commencing on January 1, 1999 and each succeeding January 1 thereafter, the term of this Agreement shall be extended automatically for one additional year (so that at all times the remaining term hereof shall not be less than two (2) years) unless not later than the September 30 preceding such automatic extension date the Company shall have given notice that it does not wish to extend this Agreement.
