Common use of Opt-Out Option Mode Clause in Contracts

Opt-Out Option Mode. If a Downstream Participant is Processing a Consumer’s Personal Information in connection with a Covered Transaction carried out in Opt- Out Option Mode received from a Signatory pursuant to Section 4.4, and such Personal Information is accompanied by Signals indicating the Consumer has Opted Out of Sales of Personal Information, the Downstream Participant shall act as the relevant First Party’s Service Provider with respect to such Personal Information.

Opt-Out Option Mode. If a Downstream Participant is Processing a Consumer’s Personal Information in connection with a Covered Transaction carried out in Opt- Out Option Mode received from a Signatory pursuant to Section 4.4, and such Personal Information is accompanied by Signals indicating the Consumer has Opted Out of Sales of Sales, or indicating that a First Party does not Sell Personal Information, the Downstream Participant shall act as the relevant First Party’s Service Provider with respect to such Personal Information.

If a Downstream Participant is Processing a Consumer’s Personal Information in connection with a Covered Transaction carried out in Opt- Out Option Mode received from a Signatory or a Certified Partner pursuant to Section 4.4, and such Personal Information is accompanied by Signals indicating the Consumer has Opted Out of Sales of Sales, or indicating that the First Party does not Sell Personal Information, the Downstream Participant shall act as the relevant First Party’s Service Provider with respect to such Personal Information.
