Other Financial Support a. Provider shall report within ninety (90) calendar days any major changes in non-JWB revenue which would impact targeted service levels in JWB funded programs during the fiscal year. b. JWB funds shall not be used for expenditures also funded by other sources. JWB funds shall not be used to supplant other sources of revenue. c. Generally, JWB encourages use of its funds as financial match for securing funds from other sources. However, in such instances, Provider is required to obtain prior written approval to submit an application with JWB committed funds. d. Revenues earned in a JWB funded program must remain in that program as a condition of funding. e. Programs charging a fee for services supported by JWB funding must forward a copy of the fee schedule to JWB within thirty (30) calendar days of the effective date of this agreement and upon making changes to the fee schedule.

Other Financial Support. 4.1 Oxford Xxxxxxx has, for a number of years, allocated financial aid payments to students who could demonstrate urgent financial need. The allocation of funding has been and will continue to be made through specialist advisors within the Financial Aid Office who administer the Access to Learning Fund and the Emergency Fund, the latter of which provides small payments to students with specific financial problems according to set criteria. 4.2 In addition to the bursary scheme, Oxford Brookes continues to provide resource for a Hardship Fund which is in addition to the Access to Learning Fund. This is aimed at supporting students who have already started courses at the University. 4.3 The Community Scholarship recognises and rewards applicants from the region who have a demonstrable ability to meet the offer threshold. They are assessed against any of four criteria: potential to succeed, regarded as successful role models within their school or FEI, committed to their studies or have overcome personal or social difficulties. The Community Scholarship is available to applicants from within our regional catchment and is awarded at a rate of £1,000 for the first year of the degree programme and £500 per annum for two subsequent years. Students who are eligible for an HE Maintenance Xxxxx from the SLC, and who have spent a period of time from the age of fourteen in local authority care, are eligible for an additional bursary of up to £2,000 per annum.

The University has committed to a significant increase in overall funds available in support of students experiencing hardship. 4.4 Oxford Xxxxxxx has developed a scholarship scheme the first payments of which were be made in September 2007. • Academic Excellence Scholarship Applicants studying at a school or college of further education anywhere in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland and who apply for an undergraduate course at Oxford Brookes will be considered for an academic excellence scholarship. The academic excellence scholarships are open to all applicants who are UK citizens, have been educated in the UK and are eligible for home tuition fees and home student support and who have selected Oxford Brookes University as their preferred university. The scholarship is awarded at a rate of £2,000 per annum for each year of a degree programme up to 4 years. Applicants must have achieved the highest grade in specified examinations. Other Financial Support. 8.1 The Employer shall not benefit from any other financial incentives from other Institutions for the payment of stipends to the youth and training cost during the period of the placement/training. 8.2 Where the Employer fails to comply with paragraph 8.1, the SWG shall terminate the present agreement and reserve the right to recover any amount already paid to the Employer.

Other Financial Support. As outlined in Section 2.3.1, the University will be continuing to offer a bursary as we recognise that our bursary recipients have better retention rates than our general student population. However, we have a considerable number of underrepresented students and not all are eligible for the bursary. It is likely that the bursary is only one aspect of ensuring the success of our students, and we are therefore proposing to reduce the bursary to allow us to continue to spend on wider areas of success and progression for the benefit of all of our students.
Other Financial Support. As outlined in Section 4.3.1, the University will be continuing to offer a bursary as we recognise that our bursary recipients have better retention rates than our general student population. However, we have a considerable number of underrepresented students and not all are eligible for the bursary. It is likely that the bursary is only one aspect of ensuring the success of our students, and we will therefore maintain the bursary amount at £500 per student per year to support success and retention. While feedback from our students suggests that the current cash bursary is appreciated, the University is participating in discussions with organisations that offer options to target the type of spending for which students can use their bursary. We will continue to research the options and will determine the specifics of our bursary before September 2017 in order to be able to communicate the offer to applicants early in the application cycle. The University will continue to operate the following eligibility criteria for students to receive the University of Suffolk Bursary: • Studying a full-time undergraduate degree programme; • Assessed through Student Finance England as having a household income of £25,000 or less; • Living in the UK. If applications for the bursary exceed the number of allocations available, awards will be subject to additional academic criteria.

ECT funding may not result in a prohibited private benefit (i.e., a profit) for the Provider. d. Provider may not charge any fee or tuition for services or programs funded by ECT.
Other Financial Support. A limited means tested hardship fund will also be available to all students who can demonstrate an urgent need for assistance. This will be administered through the College’s Student Admissions and Support unit using existing procedures. Currently the College runs a limited hardship fund which is often undersubscribed. The greater awareness raised by the full package being offered will overcome any barriers which may exist.
