Common use of Outside Canada and The United States Clause in Contracts

Outside Canada and The United States. No employees, officers and directors are permitted to use the Corporation's funds, facilities, or other assets, to support either directly or indirectly any political candidates or political parties, without advance authorization in writing from their immediate supervisor and the Chief Legal Officer. The policy of the Corporation is that officers, directors and employees, officers and directors should not participate in political activities in countries of which they are not nationals. However, such persons, of course, are free to participate in political activities in countries of which they are nationals in their own time and at their own expense.
