Owner Request for HUD Determination of Default. If the Owner believes that an event as specified in paragraph (a)(1) has occurred, and the Owner is not in default, the Owner may, within 30 days of the initial occurrence of the event: (i) Notify HUD of the occurrence of the event; (ii) Provide supporting evidence of the default and of the fact that the Owner is not in default; and (iii) Request HUD to determine whether there has been a default.
