Partial Disability. 3.1.5.1 In the event that an employee is determined fit to return to work in a limited capacity, whether it is on a full- or part-time basis, the employee shall return to work within the Fire & Rescue Department. This temporary, alternative duty shall commence on the first day of the employee's regular work schedule following the physician's clearance. The employee's work schedule and duties shall be based on their normal work schedule and physician's restrictions as established in 3.1.3 and 3.1.4 above. In the event the physician's work restrictions require the temporary, alternate duty to be on a part-time basis, the benefits shall be determined on a pro rata basis in accordance with the schedule provided in 3.1.1 above. In no case shall the application of full/partial benefits or full-time, temporary, alternative duty extend beyond two times the schedule provided in 3.1.1.
