Common use of Patent Disputes Clause in Contracts

Patent Disputes. Anything contained in this Agreement to the contrary notwithstanding, with respect to any dispute, controversy or claim between the Parties that involves the validity, scope, infringement, enforceability, inventorship or ownership of the Parties’ respective Patent Rights (a) that are issued in the United States shall be subject to actions before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and/or submitted exclusively to the federal court located in [***]; and (b) that are issued in any other country (or region) shall be brought before an appropriate regulatory or administrative body or court in that country (or region), and the Parties hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts and bodies.
