The 'Payment by direct debit' clause establishes that payments under the agreement will be made automatically from the payer's bank account to the payee's account through a direct debit arrangement. In practice, this means the payer authorizes the payee to withdraw funds on agreed dates, typically for recurring charges such as monthly service fees or installment payments. This clause streamlines the payment process, reduces administrative burden, and helps ensure timely payments, thereby minimizing the risk of late or missed payments.
Payment by direct debit. The Merchant will irrevocably and unconditionally authorise the bank at which it maintains the Merchant Account to debit the Merchant Account with the amount of any fee, cost, charge, liability or expense or other amount which becomes payable by the Merchant to Worldline (including the administration and telecommunications access fees as set out in the Schedule).
