PAYMENT OF BACK PAY CLAIMS. Section 1. Back wages and/or benefits will be paid to an employee upon a finding that said employee is entitled thereto, in such amounts as may be determined through the grievance procedure. The employer, upon a finding, shall pay the employee within thirty (30) days of receipt of the Arbitration Decision. Section 2. No claim for back pay or wages shall exceed the amount of pay or wages the employee would otherwise have earned at his regular wage or pay rate. Any claims for back pay shall be reduced by interim employment earnings and/or unemployment compensation, if directed by the arbitrator or Civil Service Board.
